► Mary J. Blige brings her “Strength of a Woman” tour to the Greek Theatre, supported by Letoya Luckett.
► The third Chinatown Summer Nights of the year brings with Dream Machines, the New Electric Sound, Zealyn, Elle Belle, the Americans, Francisca Valenzuela and Saint Cecilia — plus KCRW DJs Travis Holcome and Raul Campos — to Chinatown Central and Mandarin Plazas. ► It’s the second night of Peanut Butter Wolf’s History of Hip-Hop (1989-99) at the Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles, part of the free summer concert series in MacArthur Park.
► Maestro of the movies John Williams is back for the second of three nights at the Hollywood Bowl.
► Hanni El Khatib headlines the first night of the Made in L.A. Festival at Golden Road Brewery (5410 W. San Fernando Road). The music starts at 5:30, and YACHT, Iconique, Maxim Ludwig and Korey Dane also perform. [Set times here]
