New York indie-rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced that their breakthrough album, 2003’s Grammy-nominated “Fever to Tell,” will be reissued on vinyl, the first time in a decade it’s been available in that format. The album is also getting the boxed set treatment.
The trio also announced a date at the Fonda Theatre on Oct. 25 in advance of their appearance at The Growlers 6 festival. (Presale for the Fonda date begins today if you have a promo code from the album pre-order.)
Of the release, the band says: “A friend of a friend kept asking if we were ever gonna put ‘Fever To Tell’ out on vinyl as it hasn’t been on vinyl in 10 years. That’s not right. So here it is on vinyl for the first time in 10 years plus a time capsule of photos, demos (first ever recorded), a mini-film documenting our near downfall and other fun memorabilia, from the turn of the century NYC, made with love and the usual blood, sweat and tears of Yeah Yeah Yeahs.”
Including in the reissue is the previously unreleased song “Shake It.”
