Rubber Ducky, get ready, because Baths is back with a new single “Yeoman,” and it’ll make life lots of fun as it’s one of the most energetic and jubilant tracks of his career. The solo project of Los Angeles beatmaker Will Wiesenfeld hasn’t put out any music since his 2013 sophomore album “Obsidian,” but his third full-length, the 12-track “Romaplasm,” is due out on Nov. 17 via Anticon Records. Of the new record, Wiesenfeld says, “I’m not as emotive with real world things as I am when I’m neck deep in anime, video games, books or comics. … I wanted to be honest with myself that this is where my heart lies and where I get the most emotion out of life. I wanted a record that mirrors those emotions but in an indirect way.” “Yeoman” is the first track to emerge, a shimmery pop number with a glitchy backbone and vibrant bounce that may be about having a romance while high, or perhaps about doing psychedelic drugs with a floating vessel’s admin?
