Video: Ariel Pink, ‘I Wanna Be Young’

Argentinian video maker Salvador Cresta created a shrine to Ariel Pink’s youth in the video for “I Wanna Be Young,” another single from Pink’s recently released album on Mexican Summer, “Dedicated to Bobby Jameson.” The song actually appeared in an alternate, higher-pitched form on 2008’s “Odditties Sodomies Vol. 1,” but he made some tweaks on the new version.

In the video, a tiny man dressed all in pink runs around the screen, at times in multiples, as a smaller screen within the screen alternates between Pink singing the song and a slideshow of the musician through the years. Oh, to be young again. Oh, to have an altar dedicated to oneself.
