Los Angeles concerts for Wednesday:

► Dear Boy [see “Love Interest”] headline the Troubadour, joined by Gothic Tropic and Pinky Pinky at the Troubadour.
► Albert Hammond Jr. previews some new music and warms up for a tour supporting the Killers with a free show at Resident.
► Austin’s the Octopus Project, fresh off scoring the film “Damsel” (which premiered at Sundance) and getting ready for the deluxe re-release of their 2007 album “Hello, Avalanche,” visit the the Bootleg Theater, joined by New Fumes and Ian Chang.
► Foxtrails [see “Barnyard”] play Zebulon, along with Danke and Farmer Dave Scher.
► Alabama-bred, Nashville-based Banditos visit the Moroccan Lounge in support of their second album “Visionland,” supported by King Leg and Albert & His Dreamboats.
► And the Birth Defects celebrate the release of their sophomore album “Everything Is Fine” with a show at the Echo. Zig Zags and Cat Scan support.
