Los Angeles concerts for Thursday:
► Superchunk does a cozy show at the Moroccan Lounge behind their new album “What a Time to Be Alive,” with Bat Fangs opening.
► Australia’s Alex Cameron [see our review from last September] does the first of two nights at the Lodge Room in support of his album “Forced Witness.”
► Nashville rockers Bully, whose sophomore album “Losing” came out last fall, turn it up at the Teragram Ballroom.
► Country singer Ron Pope brings his soulful Americana to the Fonda Theatre, joined by the National Parks and the Heart Of.
► Grammy-winning rapper The-Dream visits the Novo behind his new album “Love Affair,” with Bria Jhane opening.
► It’s a second night of Tune-Yards, with Sudan Archives, at the El Rey Theatre
► G-Eazy plays the Wiltern behind his latest album
“The Beautiful & the Damned,” with Trippie Redd, Phora and Anthony Russo supporting.
► With a new album on the way and the new singles “Joyful” and “Don’t Stay” just out, X Ambassadors do a sold-out show at the Belasco Theater.
► And not only are the Smashing Pumpkins back, but so are the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex. The dummer’s jazz quartet does two sets at Resident, one of songs from the new release “The Parable” and the other material largely from 2005’s “Life Begins Again.”
