Premiere: Shallou, ‘Find’

Shallou (stylized shallou) began as the bedroom pop project of Maryland native Joe Boston, whose pristine electronic compositions, at once both intimate and expansive, evoke widescreen emotions. The 2017 EP “All Becomes Okay” vaulted him to greater prominence, and as a sold-out crowd last month at the Echo found, translated to an evening of riveting music and eyes-closed bliss. His latest single, “Find,” finds Boston teaming up with fellow producer Kasbo and singer Cody Lavaas on a painterly track that echoes down the canyons of desire (see Mike O’Brien’s video) and finds a tender landing spot. The single is the latest from shallou’s forthcoming EP, “Souls,” due April 27.
