Tame Impala has been announced as a headliner for Desert Daze, which moves to yet another new location, Moreno Beach at Lake Perris, for the festival’s seventh year.
Mercury Rev (performing their classic “Deserter’s Songs”), Warpaint, Chelsea Wolfe, Ty Segall & White Fence, Preoccupations and Kevin Morby are among the other artists in what the fest calls its “phase one transmission.”
Update*: Death Grips have been added to the lineup.
More artists are to be added later.
The festival spent two successful years at the Institute for Mentalphysics in Joshua Tree. The Lake Perris State Recreation Area will be a shorter drive from L.A.; it’s located southeast of Moreno Valley (south of the 60 freeway, east of the 15).
General admission tickets for the three-day fest start at $249; there are camping and RV options. They go on sale here at 10 a.m. Friday.
