“I’m not a trumpeter that writes songs,” Spencer Ludwig explains. “I’m an artist who also plays the trumpet.”

The singer-songwriter, who helped Capital Cities horn their way into the Top 10 back in 2011 with “Safe and Sound” and went on to play with a host of pop luminaries, last week unveiled his third solo single, “Just Wanna Dance.” With Ludwig’s horn delivering the hook amid his falsetto and finger snaps, it’s shiny as dance-floor gold. The single is a follow-up to last year’s “Got Me Like.”
