Alice Bag celebrates the release of her new album “Blueprint” with a show at the Echo, joined by Fatty Cakes & the Puff Pastries. [See our interview with her and stream the album.]
► Brooklyn’s Chrome Sparks, whose new, self-titled album is out next week, does an early show (5:30 p.m. doors) at the Echoplex, along with Machinedrum and Ela Minus.
Melted celebrate the release of their album “Thin Skin” with a show at the Hi Hat, with Awakebutstillinbed, Decent Criminal and Pancho & the Wizards opening.
► The legendary Omara Portuondo, the 87-year-old Cuban singer, will be bring a little Havana to L.A. as part of the From the Buena Vista Social Club performance at the Regent Theater.
► Chicagoland rapper Kweku Collins visits the Moroccan Lounge.
► Post-hardcore quartet Our Last Night does a sold-out show at the Teragram Ballroom.
Kevin Morby does a second sold-out night at the Troubadour with Hand Habits.
