► The independent festival BROKE L.A. kicks off two days of music, comedy and art at the Regent Theater in downtown L.A. About 30 artists perform today. ► Dashboard Confessional headlines the Palladium, supported by Beach Slang and Kississippi.
► Canadian singer-songwriter JP Saxe headlines the Troubadour, joined by Beck Pete, Madison Malone and Kyler Slater.
► Tuareg desert rock outfit Imarhan plays an early show at the Echo in support of their new album “Temet.”
► And L.A. quintet Hooveriii plays a Record Store Day after-party at the Hi Hat, along with RFRC and Golden Crease.
