A happy, giggling Lily Allen received a warm welcome back from Los Angeles fans, with a sold-out show at El Rey Theatre on Wednesday. The last time she visited was in 2014 while touring her third album “Sheezus.” This time around, Allen played almost all the songs from her upcoming album, “No Shame,” out June 8 on Warner Bros. Records, and many older favorites like “Smile,” “Knock ‘Em Out” and “Fuck You.” As for “Fuck You,” Allen told the audience, “I wrote this song about your president 11 years ago and now you got one worse. This goes out to Donald.” Burn. While many of the new songs featured some sad material, covering topics like promiscuity and the end of her marriage, Allen appreciated the audience for “hanging in there” while she bared emotions.

Setlist: “Higher,” “Come On Then,” “My One,” Lost My Mind,” “Knock ‘Em Out,” “Everything To Feel Something,” “Apples,” “Three,” “Waste,” “Smile,” “Cake,” “Family Man,” “Pushing Up Daisies,” “Fuck You.” Encore: “Trigger Bang,” “The Fear,” “Not Fair”
