Jarvis Cocker among notable adds to Desert Daze lineup

Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker (introducing his new project JARV IS), Beak (featuring Geoff Barrow of Portishead) and long-running post-rock outfit Earth (doing their 2008 album “The Bees Made Honey in the Lion’s Skull”) have been added to an already-stacked lineup for the Desert Daze festival in October.

* Friday update: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have been added as well.

The three-day fest, Oct. 12-14, this year moves to a new location, Moreno Beach at Lake Perris.

Tame Impala, Death Grips, Mercury Rev and Warpaint were previously announced atop Desert Daze’s bill. More acts are still to be revealed.

Also added to the fest in the “second phase” lineup announcement were, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Boogarins, Föllakzoid, Bedouine, Wand, Imarhans and Hinds.
