FIGFest returns in June with Lion Babe, Poolside and more for free shows in DTLA

L.A. “daytime disco” duo Poolside will kick off this year’s FIGFest (aka the Figat7th Downtown Festival) on June 1.
The four-week series of free Friday night concerts will take place on the plaza atop the Figat7th retail center, located at Figueroa and 7th streets in downtown Los Angeles. It’s the series’ sixth year.
Headliners also include New York duo Lion Babe and Stones Throw Records luminary Gabriel Garzón-Montano. The headliner for the closing week is to be announced.
The nights start at 5 p.m. with games and the opening of the craft beer garden. An opening act (7 p.m.) and headliner (8 p.m.) are sandwiched between two DJ sets. Below, the lineup so far:
