Coming out to a roaring, sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday night, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard immediately ripped into a unrelenting 20-song set of their heavily psychedelic prog-rock. Lead guitarist and vocalist Stu Mackenzie excitedly addressed the crowd after a few songs, stating that this was the biggest show that they’ve ever played in the U.S. Much like their “never-ending” album “Nonagon Infinity,” many of the songs flowed seamlessly into one another, as did the many mosh pits in the maniacal crowd. As beer flew through the air and multiple inflatable condoms bobbed around, a number of circle pits continuously merged and divided into one another for the entirety of their set.
The show was opened by Melbourne-based punk group Amyl & The Sniffers, who are joining King Gizz for their tour across the U.S.
