► San Jose metal trio Sleep, who in April released their first album since 1998, “The Sciences,” headline the Wiltern, with Bell Witch supporting.
► Yo La Tengo does the first of two sold-out nights at the Teragram Ballroom.
► Lion Babe performs at Week 2 of FIGFest, fka the FIGat7th Downtown Festival, the free night on the plaza in downtown L.A.
► Kesha and Macklemore do a night at the Forum, with Wes Period opening.
► Alice Smith holds forth at the Regent Theater.
► Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor visits the Troubadour in support of his new solo album “Beautiful Thing,” with and Annie Hart supporting.
► Broncho rocks the Moroccan Lounge, joined by Howlin Rain.
► Wild Belle does an intimate show at Zebulon, with Danke supporting.
