Fresh off her Hollywood Bowl performance on Sunday night supporting Flying Lotus, Georgia Anne Muldrow today unveiled “Overload,” her first new music since being signed to FlyLo’s Brainfeeder label. It’s an enticing labyrinth of warm keys, stuttering beats and nimble vocals that sees the singer-songwriter-producer — a fearless experimentalist and darling of the L.A. avant garde for more than a decade — lamenting people for “thinking that love is something to play with.” The song, produced by Mike & Keys (The Futuristiks), deals with “the process of building loving relationships in spite of the malfunctions of Western society,” Muldrow says.
