ZZ Ward, Booker T. Jones to play second annual Santa Barbara Polo & Wine Festival

ZZ Ward and Booker T. Jones highlight the musical portion of the second annual Santa Barbara Polo & Wine Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.

The music — which also includes performances from the California Honeydrops and Quinn DeVeaux — is but one-third of the attraction of this event. The day will feature two polo matches and tastings from more than six area wineries. The distinctive event is the one festival where “Third Man” doesn’t refer to a record label and attendees are encouraged to dress like “the scene from the movie ‘Pretty Woman’ when they are at the polo match.” Plus, there’s a “VIP champagne and cheese hour.”
