Songwriter Michael Collins rounded up the whole gang — who in turn rounded up some of their gang, for a feel-good Drugdealer show on Thursday night at the Teragram Ballroom.
Launder opened the night, with John Cudlip joined backed by Day Wave’s Jackson Phillips (who produced Launder’s EP “Pink Cloud”) and Lukas Frank. Jackson MacIntosh, who plays guitar in Drugdealer, was next, starting off his set solo before being joined by a full band for songs from his solo album “My Dark Side.” At the end of his set, MacIntosh said, “I’ll see you in 10 minutes,” and in about that time, the rest of Drugdealer hit the stage.
With Collins spending plenty of time on keys, Drugdealer were joined halfway through the set by Mac DeMarco for a couple of songs, and then by Natalie Mering (Weyes Blood), who appears on two of the songs on Drugdealer’s 2016 album “The End of Comedy.”
