My Bloody Valentine added to lineup for Desert Daze

Shoegaze greats My Bloody Valentine have been added to the lineup for the seventh annual Desert Daze festival, scheduled for Oct. 12-14 on Moreno Beach at Lake Perris.
MBV joins co-headliners Tame Impala, but Kevin Shields and company aren’t the only notable addition announced this morning. Long-running noise-rockers Shellac, composer Julia Holter (performing with an orchestra) and GUM (the solo project of Jay Watson of Tame Impala) have also been added. Plus, Steve Albini has been added as a featured speaker.
Besides Tame Impala and MBV, festival highlights include King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Death Grips, Mercury Rev (performing “Deserter’s Songs”), Warpaint, Jarvis Cocker (introducing his new project JARV IS), Ty Segall & White Fence, Earth (performing “The Bees Made Honey in the Lion’s Skull”) Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats and Chelsea Wolfe.
Installation art, films, talks, projections, workshops, the Mystic Bazaar and late-night programming are still to be announced.
Plus, Thursday night arrival has been added for campers who want to set up early.
