L.A. shows for Monday:
► Philadelphia’s Hop Along headline the Teragram Ballroom behind their new album “Bark Your Head Off, Dog,” with Thin Lips opening.
► L.A. darkwave trio the Electric West celebrates the release of their new album “No Prēyers” with a show at Resident, with Some Daggers Wear Red, the Tissues and Brass Box supporting.
► Long-running New Zealand psych-folk band the Renderers (who now reside in the High Desert) start a run of four free Monday nights at Zebulon. Tonight, Merz opens.
► More residency choices for this month of Mondays: Ruby Haunt (see “Darling”) are at the Moroccan Lounge, along with Sam Valdez, Sports Coach and Pink Skies; Cones (see “Run the Risk”) are at the Bootleg Theater, along with Pavo Pavo and Wolcott’s Instant Pain Annihilator; and Slugs are at the Echo, along with Family Cash and Gumboot.
► Vōx heads up the lineup at It’s a School Night at Bardot, with Jen Awad, Avid Dancer and Bones Owens rounding out the night.
► And L.A. quartet Cowgirls make their live debut at the Hi Hat, joined by Giant Waste of Man and Velvet.
