L.A. concerts for Thursday:

► Smashing Pumpkins, with their almost-all-original lineup, do the first of two nights at the Forum, with Metric opening.
► Tel Aviv-based Gili Yalo brings his mix of soul, funk and traditional Ethiopian music for the final of this season’s Sunset Concerts at the Skirball Center. It’s a free show.
► Punk rocker Alice Bag plays tonight’s installment of the free concert series at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park, with Generacion Suicida opening.
► Long-running pop-rockers Rooney headline the Regent Theater, supported by Mating Ritual and Goldensuns.
► Nashville’s Los Colognes visit the Moroccan Lounge in support of their third album, “The Wave.” Get there early for Talk Time.
► And the Black Watch celebrate the release of their new album “WITCHES!” (their 16th!) at Little Joy.
