► Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit headline the Greek Theatre, with Aimee Mann opening.
► Smashing Pumpkins (who played a 3 1/2-hour set Thrusday night) are back for a second night at the Forum, with Metric opening.
► In the first of three shows over the holiday weekend, composer John Williams marks the 40th anniversary of his Hollywood Bowl debut with the “Maestro of the Movies” program featuring the L.A. Philharmonic and special guest Steven Spielberg.
► George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic hold forth at the Novo.
► Eli Paperboy Reed, visits the Bootleg Theater in support of his new album, “Eli Paperboy Reed Meets High & Mighty Brass Band,” made with a 10-piece band. Omar & the Stringpoppers and TJ Mayes open.
