Panteón Rococó, Mexican Institute of Sound and more to perform at Dia de los Muertos at Hollywood Forever

Panteón Rococó, Mexican Institute of Sound, Hello Seahorse!, Y La Bamba and Loli Molina have been announced as the main-stage music performers for the 19th Annual Dia de Los Muertos celebration on Oct. 27 at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
This year’s festival will honor Coatlicue (kwɑ-t’li-kweɪ), “The Mother of Gods” and historically lost and refound Mother Goddess of the Americas. In addition to the music, the noon to midnight event will feature three other stages of traditional music, theater and dance performances; a costume contest (attendees are strongly encouraged to don their favorite Calaca/skeleton-wear); an art exhibition in the Cathedral Mausoleum curated by Luis Villanueva; a children’s art center with facepainting; 100-plus altars by community members honoring their dearly departed and a vibrant procession with pre-colonial Aztec blessings and regional music and dance.
General admission tickets are $25 (exact change required for purchase at the door), children 4 and younger as well as seniors 65 and older are free until 4 p.m.
