Christine and the Queens played a sold-out show at the Wiltern on Saturday night to a boisterous audience. After opening with “Comme Si” and “Girlfriend,” Héloïse Letissier, aka Chris, commented that those two songs are usually warm up songs, but that the audience was already very hot. With the recent release of her sophomore album, “Chris,” there was plenty of material to fill the ninety-minute set. The dancing never stopped, with a half dozen dancers that lit up the stage with creative choreography. In addition to her own songs, peppered through the set were riffs on Kanye West’s “Heartless,” Janet Jackson’s “Nasty Boys,” Queen’s “Radio Gaga” and Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror.” During the encore, Chris appeared in the audience, where she sang “Saint Claude” before returning to the stage for “Intranquillité.”
Dounia opened the show.
