Sixteen-year-old Billie Eilish performed to a adoring full house of fans Tuesday night at the Fonda Theatre, the first of three sold-out shows the pop songstress has this week.
After Finneas O’Connell, Eilish’s older brother, began the night with a short set, Childish Major followed with a blast of high energy, getting the crowd to obey their every “hands up.”
Eilish soon followed, proving herself confident and poised among the shrill screams of her young fans. The sing-alongs began immediately, with “My Boy” and “Idontwannabeyouanymore,” and Eilish worked in a ukulele cover of “Hotline Bling,” as well as her new single “When the Party’s Over.” She closed the night with two of her early songs, “Ocean Eyes” and “Copycat.”
She plays again tonight and Friday night at the Fonda.
Setlist: My Boy, Idontwannabeyouanymore, Come Out and Play, Bored, Hotline Bling (Drake), Party Favor, Bitches Broken Hearts, Six Feet Under, Watch / &burn, When the Party’s Over, You Should See Me in a Crown, Hostage, Bellyache, Lovely (with Khalid), Young Dumb & Broke (Khalid), Ocean Eyes, Copycat
