Raise a glass. Jenny Lewis today unveiled the first single from her new album “On the Line,” her first full-length in five years. In “Red Bull & Hennessy,” Lewis confesses that she’s “wired” and “higher than you” over a Fleetwood Mac-like groove and drumming from Jim Keltner and Ringo Starr. If Lewis’ vocals reveal sensuality and need, the biting guitar adds a note of urgency, especially Ryan Adams’ bluesy outro.

Besides Keltner, Starr and Adams, the album sees Lewis backed by Beck, Benmont Tench and Don Was. Recorded at Capitol Records’ famed Studio B, “On the Line” is out March 22. Lewis has also announced additional tour dates, including some with Death Cab for Cutie.
