Danish dynamo visited the Wiltern on Thursday night in support of her latest album, last fall’s “Forever Neverland,” and turned the packed venue into an enchanted land of her making. She gave a versatile, physical performance that peaked late in the set when Charli XCX joined her for “If It’s Over.”

The 30-year-old, born Karen Marie Aagaard Ørsted Andersen, performed in front of a backdrop made from thin paper, which had silhouetted palm trees arranged like a Rorschach test. Eventually, it shifted to a moon, and later MØ ripped it down dramatically.

Midway through the set, she moved through the crowd to a satellite stage, where she drank wine and sang three songs before making her way back to the main stage. She mellowed out for “Mercy,” performing the song on piano, and finished with a bang, crowd-surfing as she sang “Lean On.”
