Desert Stars announces full lineup for festival in Joshua Tree on March 29-30

Brooklyn-based Chaos Chaos, Portland’s the Prids, Italian quartet New Candys and SoCal stalwarts such as Spindrift, Jesika Von Rabbit and the Blank Tapes are among the artists on the lineup for the new edition of the Desert Stars festival.
They join previously announced headliners Luna and Dean Wareham Performing Galaxie 500 at the two-day affair, scheduled for March 29-30 in the arts district of downtown Joshua Tree. The fest’s exact location has not yet been announced; Desert Stars founder Tommy Dietrick says the event will have a main stage and an acoustic stage in a “beer garden-style atmosphere.” It will feature local food, beer, wine and art vendors. It’s the 11th year for the DIY fest with an affection for psychedelic rock and shoegaze.
Weekend passes are $75. Single-day tickets and bundle options are also available.
