On Friday, Local Natives followed up Wednesday night’s release of the new song “Café Amarillo” with bigger news: The quintet will release their fourth album, “Violet Street,” on April 26. The follow-up to 2016’s “Sunlit Youth,” it’s an album the band says speaks to the question, “With all of the chaos in the world, where do you find your shelter?”

Along with that bulletin came a second new song, “When Am I Gonna Lose You,” a soaring, 4 1/2-minute paean to inevitable sadness, and the video for the song, starring actress Kate Mara. The stylish video, like its predecessor directed by Van Alpert (Post Malone), finds Mara looking very much like she’s already lost someone, and maybe expecting someone else.

“I got married last year,” singer-guitarist Taylor Rice says of the song. “I found myself in an incredible relationship that was great on so many levels, but I always felt like it was going to go away, fall apart and crumble. This song is me diving into murky emotions of anxiety and doubt in the middle of love and joy.”
