If you live in Los Angeles, east is east and west is west … and the twain shall only meet after a hellacious, mind-numbing commute.
That’s the theme of “Westwide,” a hilarious and completely-relevant-if-you’re-stuck-on-the-10 song from Conscious Trap, a crew composed of Drew Love (Scobybryant), Evan Cristo (Vitaman), Alfred Kendrick (Lil Guac) and Phillipos Haile (Senchasavage). A couple of weeks ago they unveiled “Westside” via a video directed by VAYABOBO and Phillipos Haile. The song laments the fact that, thanks to L.A. traffic, any affair — business or romantic — can be a long-distance relationship.
We don’t know much about these guys, except that Kendrick is a well-known celebrity trainer. And as much as we could use a new workout routine and someone who could push us, his studio is located on the west end of Hollywood, and since we live in Glendale, that just isn’t going to work out.
