Festival news: Once Upon a Time in the LBC, Lightning in a Bottle, Salute the Troops, Like Totally, Joshua Tree Music Fest

Festivals, festivals, we got ’em:
■ Once Upon a Time in the LBC: Snoop Dogg & Tha Dogg Pound — along YG, the Game, DMX, Nipsey Hussle, Bone Thugs N-Harmony, Warren G, Keith Sweat, Too Short, Blueface and more — will head up the lineup as a rap-centric festival returns to Long Beach for the second summer in a row. Last July, Snoop headlined Summertime in the LBC; this year at the Queen Mary Events Park, it’s called Once Upon a Time in the LBC, which will feature the Game performing 2005’s “The Documentary” and DMX performing 1998’s “It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot.” The date is Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28.* ” Tickets range from $100-$150 (GA) and $200-$250 (VIP) and go on sale here at 10 a.m. Friday.
■ Salute the Troops Music and Comedy Festival: The Fox Theater and the Glass House in Pomona will be the site next weekend’s festival featuring Snoop Dogg, Cold War Kids, Capital Cities, Method Man & Redman, Prince’s New Power Generation, members of Wu Tang Clan and a host of other musical and comedy acts. The three-day affair March 22-24 benefits various veterans causes. Weekend passes ($100 GA, $190 VIP), along with single-day options, are available here.
■ Like Totally Music Festival: The ’80s are back in full force with a lineup that includes the Bangles, Public Image Ltd, the Romantics, the Smithereens, Tommy Tutone and more. It goes off May 11 at Huntington State Beach. Tickets ($55 GA, $150 VIP) are on sale here.
■ Lightning in a Bottle: The DoLab’s annual party, which this year moves to Buena Vista Lake in Kern County, added a slew of artists for its Phase 2 lineup announcement, including Ozomatli, Balkan Bump, Her Story, Dela Moon, DJ Dan, Frameworks and Light the Sky. Tier 3 tickets for the festival, May 8-13, are now on sale here, starting at $350.
■ Doheny Blues Festival: The two-day festival (May 18-19), now into its third decade, brings Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Jonny Lang, the Taj Mahal Quartet, the Allman Betts Band, Vintage Trouble, John Mayall, North Mississippi All-Stars and more to Sea Terrace Park in Dana Point. Two day passes are $140 (GA) and $275 (VIP) and on sale here, with single-day options available.
■ Joshua Tree Music Festival: The 17th annual event (the spring edition) goes off May 16-19 at Joshua Tree Lake Campground with a lineup including Vintage Trouble, Oliver Koletzki, Dynohunter, Thumpasaurus, Earth Arrow and a host more, plus children’s activities and the usual JTMF art, wellness and yoga activities. Passes are $190 (for four days), with single-day and camping options available.
