Well of course there’s a band named Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and of course they’re from Australia and of course they come heartily endorsed by the folks behind Desert Daze and of course they shred to a liquid light show.

Coming to the United States for the first time on this current tour, PPC stomped onto the Teragram Ballroom stage on Wednesday night and stoked the fires of a crowd that was already raging hot. Drenched in the projections of the Slim Reaper Light Show, the four-piece from Perth, Australia, blasted their melodic psych-rock as the young moshers thrashed about and banged heads along to the powerful riffage.

Local psych-rockers Frankie and the Witch Fingers took to the stage prior to PPC and lit the aforementioned fire that became the turbulent, moshing swarm of a crowd. Hot off a slew of shows at SXSW, Frankie came home and played to a very welcoming crowd. Judging by the murmurs heard from the crowd after their set, Frankie and the Witch Fingers made a number of new fans with their stellar performance last night.

Grave Flowers Bongo Band opened up the show with a more mellow set, easing the crowd into what was coming up next.
