Singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson’s latest album is titled “Sings His Sad Heart,” but his live shows are famously happy affairs — communal experiences with fans young and old who treasure his songcraft, humor and humanity. On his current “Sings His Sad Heart Acoustic Tour,”  he’s been using a spinning wheel to help choose setlists, just another way of solidifying his already tight bond with fans. The tour arrives at the El Rey Theatre on Tuesday, March 26, for what will surely be a special night.
