L.A. shows for Sunday:
► U.K. alt-rockers Foals headline the Shrine Expo Hall behind their new double album, “Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost,” (a good reminder). Part one of the album was released this month and part two is anticipated to release this fall. Bear Hands and Kiev open.
► Iron & Wine (aka Sam Beam) celebrates the 15th anniversary of his acclaimed second album, “Our Endless Numbered Days,” with a deluxe release featuring eight new demos from his vault and a performance of his works with both the L.A. Phil orchestra and acoustic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. A new collaborative album with Calexico, “Years to Burn,” will be released on June 14.
► The Antlers (the New York indie ambient duo Peter Silberman & Michael Lerner) play a sold-out acoustic show at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever dedicated to the 10-year anniversary of their album “Hospice,” recently released on double-LP white vinyl.
► A Celebration of Psychic Love will be held at the Bootleg Theater, celebrating the life and work of artist and musician Laura Peters and the release of Psychic Love’s new album, “Stranger Every Day.” Art created by and in honor of Peters will be on display and two sets of Psychic Love’s music will be performed by her band (including Peter Recine, Maxwell Harrison and Eric Downs) and guest musicians Slugs, Kat Meoz, the Dumes, Lauren Ruth Ward, Lelia Broussard, Nightgown, Kimi Recor of Draemings, the Wild Reeds, Devin Davis of Ramonda Hammer, Valley Queen, Robert DeLong, Soraya Sebghati of Night Talks, Emma Cole, Iress and Shawn Morones.
► Michelle Young & the Collection celebrate their “You’ve Got This” birthday bash at the Hi Hat beginning right about now, featuring birthday girl Young, James Byous and acoustic sets by Bianca Gisselle, Dave Yaden, EasyFriend, Heather Cole, ILana Armida, Kalpee, KidEyes, L:EE (Luke Strand and EE Beyond), the Time Travelers, VAVÁ, Velvet Starlings and more.
