After a week of teasing new material at shows in the U.K., Hot Chip today announced that their seventh album, “A Bath Full of Esctasy,” would be out June 21. The album sees the London band — Owen Clarke, Al Doyle Joe Goddard, Felix Martin and Alexis Taylor — working with producer Philippe Zdar (Phoenix, Cassius) and Rodaidh McDonald (The XX, David Byrne, Sampha).

First up is the six-minute dance-floor jam “Hungry Child” — an inviting return for a quartet who haven’t released any music in three years. More enticing is the short film featuring the song, directed by Saman Kesh and starring Martin Starr and Milana Vayntrub as a young couple who clearly were not meant for one another. The song imposes itself on their lives while they argue over finger snaps vs. hand claps, seek couples therapy and, strangely, live out (and almost not outlive) the lyrics. It’s worth every moment of its eight minutes.
