Touring ahead of their latest album “A Bath Full of Ecstasy,” British electro-pop stalwarts Hot Chip had their audience on pins and needles at the packed El Rey Wednesday night. It wasn’t long before the band incited a full dance party with fan favorites, “Over and Over,” “And I Was a Boy From School” and “One Life Stand.” As if the stakes couldn’t get any higher, the band came back for an encore – tilting the night to “full send” with a raucous cover of the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage.”
