Legendary Big Beat pioneers the Chemical Brothers descended upon the Shrine Auditorium on Wednesday night and into the enraptured (and rabid) arms of their adoring fans. The Manchester, England, natives played a behemoth of a set encompassing 27 songs over eight albums, with a dash of covers from Junior Parker and the Rolling Stones. The accompanying light show further amplified the urgency and sincerity of the sonic vision of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. Take a look below and you’ll find that the setlist was a veritable buffet of fan-favorites and a few deep cuts for those in the know. Certainly a bucket-list night for true gourmands of electronica.

The Black Madonna opened the night putting their full mastery of the turntables on display.

Setlist: Tomorrow Never Knows (Junior Parker cover), Go, Free Yourself, We’ve Got To Try, Chemical Beats, MAH, EML Ritual, Swoon, Star Guitar, Temptation (New Order cover), Got to Keep On, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Eve of Destruction, Saturate, Elektrobank, No Geography, Escape Velocity, Electronic Battle Weapon 6, Don’t Stop the Rock, Galvanize, Leave Home, Chemical Beats, Get Yourself High, Block Rockin’ Beats, Got Glint? Encore: Wide Open, The Private Psychedelic Reel/Sympathy for the Devil (Rolling Stones cover).
