L.A. concerts for Tuesday:

► The Hives are back — the recent single “I’m Alive” is the first new music since 2015 — and tonight they play the Fox Theater Pomona along with fellow Swedes Refused and L.A.’s Bleached.
► The Specials, celebrating 40 years since their debut album and the arrival of a new one, “Encore,” play the House of Blues Anaheim in advance of their big day Wednesday, when they will be honored by the City of Los Angeles with “The Specials Day.”
► Veers rock the Bootleg Theater, joined by the Happy Hollows and Black Furarri.
► Liv Slingerland headlines the Hi Hat, with Cheekface and Cuffed Up supporting.
► And Andy Clockwise’s residency at the Hotel Café, dubbed Hotel Electric, winds up with a lineup including  Deaf Mute, Veronica Bianqui, Club Oro, Guy Blakeslee, a Stella Mogzawa DJ set and, of course, a performance by Clockwise and his band Local Hero.
