L.A. concerts for Wednesday:

► Canadian supergroup Broken Social Scene kick off a three-night run at the Fonda Theatre. On opening night, SASAMI supports.
► Portland dream-pop duo Pure Bathing Culture visit the Bootleg Theater in support of their new album “Night Pass,” with Big Search supporting.
► Making Movies headline the Moroccan Lounge in support of their album “Ameri’kana,” which was produced by Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) and boasts collaborations with Rubén Blades, Flor De Toloache, David Hidalgo (Los Lobos), Asdru Sierra (Ozomatli), Frankie Negrón and Las Cafeteras. Sierra, members of Las Cafeteras and Chrisol open.
► Connan Mockasin does the second of three nights at the Lodge Room, with Molly Lewis opening.
► Portland folk ensemble Ezra Bell visit the Roxy, with Pablo Dylan opening.
► And Atlanta shoegaze trio XO play Resident, with Highlands and Deep Fields opening.
