Outlandishly theatrical and just as hyperkinetic, Diane Coffee put on a colorful show Friday night at the Teragram Ballroom in support of their third full-length, “Internet Arms.”
Band leader Shaun Fleming, the ex-Foxygen drummer, was adorned in a lime green mesh jumpsuit, a reflective belt and sparkling things beneath his right eye. His band of glam outlaws looked as if they shopped for stage wear at an extraterrestrial thrift store. Bounding all over the stage, air-boxing and mugging for the crowd, Fleming led the band through a set that concentrated heavily on “Internet Arms” and 2015’s “Everybody’s a Good Dog.”
Claire George and Deep Fields opened the night.
