Neil Young, Norah Jones and Father John Misty are set to perform at Harvest Moon: a Gathering, a daytime concert and catered picnic at Lake Hughes, on the same day as this year’s harvest moon on Sept. 14.
The event is a benefit for the Painted Turtle camping experience for children with severe chronic medical conditions and their families as well as the Bridge School education center for children with severe speech and physical impairments.
Tickets are $250 (eight-ticket limit) for the rain-or-shine event and will include an opening noontime marimba performance by Masanga; catered picnic by all-star local celebrity chefs; limited beer and wine tasting from select California breweries and wineries; and access to amenities, concessions and premium cocktails, wine and beer (for attendees aged 21 and over). Children under 10 are free (one child per paid ticket).
Limited “Sponsor Packages” are available for an enhanced experience with overnight cabin camping on September 14 with a gourmet dinner, campfire performance by Lisa Loeb, Sunday brunch and camping activities (those interested may contact Harvin Rogas at 5BEvents 310-559-9334 or harvin@5Bevents.com for more information).
