Sisters Tegan and Sara Quin are now 38, as good an age as any to pause and reflect on the past. In September, the Canadian twins have two releases coming that do just that. The first, “High School” (which publishes Sept. 24), is a memoir that’s being described as an “honest account of twin sisters growing up down the hall from one another, struggling to figure out their identities, their sexuality and their futures.”

The second is Tegan and Sara’s ninth album, “Hey, I’m Just Like You” (out Sept. 27), a collection of songs the twins discovered on old cassette tapes while researching the memoir. The demos, written when they were between the ages of 15 and 17, have been reworked into new studio recordings.

The “Hey I’m Just Like You” tour will feature the duo alone onstage, telling stories, sharing old video footage, performing songs and interacting with the audience.
