More Giraffes are the duo of Mark Hadley and Keeley Bumford, who mix and mismatch effects and beats to create playful electronic pop for Playskool tastes. The duo made noise last year with their debut EP, “It Was a Joke,” collaging cherubic vocals over synths and sonic scribbles that sound like video games. They have been hailed as what’s “fresh” in pop, because it’s 2019 and old-fashioned songcraft won’t do.

“Treehouse” is the first single from their forthcoming EP, “Bermuda.” It’s a three-minute bop that the duo wrote with their friend Jeremy Silver. “He had just gotten back from a retreat where he stayed in a literal treehouse in Hawaii, so we wrote this song about getting above it all, in a treehouse,” they say. “Castle in the clouds, 10 feet off the ground.” In case you’re wondering if this is adult fare, More Giraffes drop an F-bomb in the chorus.
