Bryan Ferry at the Greek Theatre

Bryan Ferry on Thursday night provided his every-so-often reminder of the depth of his catalog and the enduring legacy of Roxy Music, holding forth at the Greek Theatre as part of his world tour.

At 73, Ferry was in fine vocal form, and his vitality was matched by the energy of his nine-piece orchestra, especially during the 1-2 punch of “Love Is the Drug” and “Do the Strand” near the end of the concert.

Ferry performed 22 songs in all, culling from the Roxy Music and solo catalogs and, as is his habit, sprinkling in some choice covers. Overall, the setlist was not drastically different from Ferry’s visit to the Microsoft Theatre in 2016. Or the Nokia Theatre in 2014, or the Greek in 2011, for that matter. What fans took home, besides the usual nostalgic feels, was having witnessed music that stands the test of time, still performed with zest.

Setlist: India (Roxy Music), The Main Thing (Roxy Music), The Space Between (Roxy Music), The 39 Steps, Out of the Blue (Roxy Music), Slave To Love, While My Heart Is Still Beating (Roxy Music), Don’t Stop the Dance, Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues (Bob Dylan), Boys and Girls, Dance Away (Roxy Music), My Only Love (Roxy Music), Take a Chance With Me (Roxy Music), BĂȘte Noire, Can’t Let Go, In Every Dream Home a Heartache (Roxy Music), If There Is Something (Roxy Music), More Than This (Roxy Music), Avalon (Roxy Music), Love Is the Drug (Roxy Music), Do the Strand (Roxy Music), Let’s Stick Together (Wilbert Harrison)
