Good Talk is a new Los Angeles sextet combining the talents of guitarist Joey Singleton and synth player Ryan Koch (both of whom played in local dream-poppers Florals) with singer Brianna Yi, guitarist Josh Scott, bassist Kevin Kimmel and drummer Denim Sasso. They profess to be making “bedroom disco,” but if that’s the case, it’s a pretty big bedroom.

In fact, their debut single “Crazy” is for dancing on a hovercraft — it’s a gravity-defying slice of funk-lite, with Yi’s vocals and the girl/boy harmonies conjuring up the image of Fleetwood Mac being locked in a studio until they came out with a disco song. The tune was produced, engineered and mixed by Koch, and presumably there’s more on the way.
