Elton John will perform at the Greek Theatre on Oct. 17 as part of the one-night-only “Rocketman: Live in Concert” — a special screening of the film “Rocketman” during which the songs will be played live-to-picture.

John will be joined by Taron Egerton, who portrayed him in the biopic, and the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra.

“I’m thrilled to debut ‘Rocketman: Live in Concert,’” John said. “I can think of no better city than Los Angeles to bring the magic of this movie to life and perform live with the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra. I can’t wait for the audience to experience the film in a new and profound way.”

Members of the artist’s Rocket Club will get first crack at tickets starting today. General on-sale begins at 10 a.m. Friday here. Ticket buyers will also have the opportunity to pre-order John’s forthcoming autobiography, “Me,” out Oct. 15.
