‘SILENCE at Descanso’ series begins tonight with ‘Ritual’

GIRLSCHOOL LA founder Anna Bulbrook and Chris Rountree (Wild Up), in partnership with KCRW, have curated a collection of music, spoken word and soundscapes for a three-part series (beginning tonight) at Descanso Gardens that transcends genre and medium: “SILENCE at Descanso.”

Built around three themes– Ritual, Light and Listening— the series features performances or works by artists Zola Jesus, L’Rain, Julia Holter, Miya Folick, Suzanne Ciani, Low Leaf, Saul Williams, Gloria Cheng, Lisa E. Harris, Anna Thorvaldsdottir, John Cage, Jonas Baes and more, with visual design by Electronic Countermeasures.

The all-ages events are $37 general admission, $30 for Descanso Gardens members and $5 off with the Girlschool LA password: SILENCEATDG. Parking is free.
