Green Day announce new album, stadium tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer (L.A. date, July 25)

Green Day today announced the impending arrival of a new album, “Father of All …” — and a huge tour next year that arrives at Dodger Stadium on July 25.

After the Feb. 7 release of the new album (full title: “Father of All Motherfuckers”), the trio will do 14 concerts globally before linking up with Fall Out Boy and Weezer for what they’re calling the “The Hella Mega Tour.” The 28-date stadium tour starts in Europe in June before making its way to North America in mid-July.

Ticket presale begins at 10 a.m. Sept. 16. Access to presale tickets is for those who either order any of the bands’ albums or sign up for their mailing lists. General onsale begins at 10 a.m. Sept. 20.

Also, Green Day is playing a surprise show tonight at the Whisky.
