Mott the Hoople postpone U.S. tour

Stateside fans of Mott the Hoople will have to wait.

With main man Ian Hunter ailing, the veteran British glam rockers have postponed an 11-date U.S. tour that was scheduled to begin Oct. 21 (and included a Nov. 1 stop at L.A.’s Orpheum Theatre).

A statement from the band said that Hunter “recently developed a severe case of tinnitus and has been advised by his doctors to discontinue performing until this condition subsides.”
